German Brandscout Team wins the “Clever Storage Award”
“The international family is coming together.” This was how Kesseböhmer’s Managing Director, Burkhard Schreiber, welcomed more than 100 attendees from 43 countries to the Business Partner Conference in Cologne on 20 May 2019. “Halle Tor 2”, a historical industrial building, provided the backdrop for the specialist in furniture fitting systems to invite international business partners and subsidiaries to a “family get-together” and get them in the mood for Interzum. Kesseböhmer gave the best brand ambassadors the “Clever Storage Award”.
The miniaturisation of fittings technology, convenient storage space solutions in small kitchens, the possibility of getting fittings ready for the smart home and new sustainable materials. Kesseböhmer confidently took to the stage at Interzum in Cologne with the topics dominating the market. Business partners and subsidiaries already gathered on the eve of the trade fair for the Business Partner Conference where they got in the mood for the Interzum show. As well as the briefing on the innovations, they focussed on topics such as the future development of distribution and new marketing ideas.
“Clever Storage” idea goes around the world
This was the third time that Kesseböhmer had handed out the “Clever Storage Award” at the conference. Prizes are awarded for sales and marketing concepts in two categories, which bring the core subjects in the kitchen – clever food storage and use of space, and the intelligent and easy access to the contents of cabinets – to the market in innovative and sustainable ways.
Voting takes place in an online poll for the participants and by management. This year, business partners and sales organisations from nine countries took part. Sustainability and continuity, which are expressed in established distribution structures and a targeted marketing mix, were essential criteria in deciding who should receive awards.
Best Key Account Management comes from Germany
This year the award in the category “Key Account Management” was won by the German Brandscout Team based around Astrid Knizia, Annika Liebowski, Marc Overbecke, Manuel Pietras and Helke Junghanns. Kesseböhmer awarded this prize in acknowledgment of the “Clever Storage Best Practice Story”, which was implemented with an industry partner in exemplary fashion. Their objective was to promote networking with the kitchen manufacturer’s field sales and lay the foundations for long-term collaboration.
The German team’s contribution was based on the unique opportunity to present itself and a new marketing concept at the customer’s field sales conference and convey the benefits of Kesseböhmer’s products – which they did in three languages and in a very tight time slot. To do this, the Brandscounts chose an unconventional multimedia form of presentation to sustained effect.
The winner in the “Market Development” category is Häfele Australia. This business partner vividly documented their 360-degree cultivation of their market both in the B2B and the B2C sectors. Thanks to cooperation with popular regional brand ambassadors who promoted the topic of storage space, Kesseböhmer’s partner continued to develop the local market sustainably.
The industry as a “Clever Storage” partner
In the meantime, business partners throughout the world are committed to spreading the “Clever Storage” philosophy – out of conviction and with a sense of what the market in each region wants. The teams inspire and motivate each other at the Business Partner Conference. Schreiber said it was very pleasing to see that more “Clever Storage” partners were coming from the industry.
